Care Advocate

As a Care Advocate, you will play a vital role in supporting a young person in care. This rewarding position involves spending quality time with a child or young person, providing a positive and stable presence in their life.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to build trusting relationships. You will work closely with the young person to understand their interests, hopes, and concerns, and provide support and guidance as needed.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in the life of a young person. As a Care Advocate, you will have the opportunity to watch your young person grow and thrive, and see the positive impact that you are having on their life.
We are looking for a committed and reliable individual who can dedicate a few hours a month to this valuable role. In return, you will receive training and support to ensure that you are equipped to provide the best possible service to your young person.
Please note that this role does involve travel to visit the child or young person's home and may also include attending activities on a 1-to-1 basis. You will be able to claim mileage and expenses back after each visit.
Salary: £15,000 - £20,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)
