Aberdein Considine is seeking a skilled PR and External Affairs Manager to join their Marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging and managing all press relations and public affairs, ensuring high-quality coverage of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement comprehensive external communication and engagement strategies that align with the firm's goals and values
* Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers to secure positive coverage
* Act as a spokesperson for the firm, handling media enquiries and supporting senior colleagues with media training
* Collaborate with Partners and teams across the business to identify and produce topical and timely content
* Develop, manage, and maintain the PR and external communications plan
* Create and distribute compelling press releases, articles, and other relevant communications
* Monitor media coverage and industry developments to identify key themes and potential risks or opportunities
* Manage crisis communications and reputation management initiatives effectively, should the need arise
* Manage the day-to-day relationship with our PR agency
Requirements

* Experience in a similar role with a proven track record
* Experience of working in a professional or financial services environment
* Strong organisational and planning skills across a complex organisation with the ability to work to tight deadlines
* A confident and effective communicator across diverse stakeholder groups
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Be proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate, with attention to detail
* Have a good understanding of media needs and stories that will drive a news agenda
