Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Client Development Director to join our Sales team. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for both new business and growth from existing accounts for The Collective. Reporting into the Vice President of Sales Solutions UK, you will form part of the Leadership Team within The Collective and will have line management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership of the strategic vision for new business sales, and growth from a portfolio of existing accounts within The Collective.
  • Leadership and day-to-day management of team members, including mentoring and development.
  • Prepare and present a quarterly strategy update.
  • Take ownership of any new proposals, tenders, and RFPs assigned or generated, including delivery of presentations and pitches where required, along with the creation of case studies that showcase our services.
  • Keep in touch with everything that is new, exciting, and relevant in the event industry.
  • Maintain a commercial perspective on the proposal being put forward to the client, ensuring that the client receives best value solutions and that each project offers BCD Meetings & Events a meaningful profit opportunity.
  • Implement a new business strategy that includes target accounts, engagement plans, client activity, industry events, and awards.
Requirements
  • Owning and implementing a strategic vision for new business sales, and growth from a portfolio of existing accounts, along with the ability to translate revenue targets into clear and actionable strategies.
  • Highly effective at initiating and leading cross-functional and cross-regional teams by building collaborative relationships.
  • Drive a sales culture that permeates within the team, ensuring clear growth plans are in place and achieved across all direct reports.
  • Proven delivery on securing new business for experiential events.
  • Experience of working alongside marketing teams to create and implement proactive client engagement campaigns, social media content.
  • Actively and successfully managing the sales process: lead generation, credentials pitch, asking questions, solution pitch, negotiation, close, and contracting.
