Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description
As an Operational Trainer at Barchester, you will provide induction and development training to approximately 5 homes and/or hospitals across a specific region. You will be one of the initial points of contact between Barchester and new members of staff, demonstrating passion for your role and the Barchester ethos. This varied position will enable you to witness the skilled progression of staff from their first day throughout their Barchester career. This is a home-based position that involves travel around a specific region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and deliver induction and development training against Barchester objectives and training statistics.
  2. Provide practical, hands-on training across a variety of subjects.
  3. Plan and publish training calendars.
  4. Ensure employee training files are up-to-date.
  5. Observe workplace practice.
  6. Arrange induction paperwork and a buddy in advance of a new employee starting.
  7. Maintain regular contact with new team members, coaching and supporting where appropriate.
  8. Attend meetings and conferences external to the home where required.
  9. Promote learning and development opportunities that Barchester offers.
  10. Work with Home Managers to ensure the implementation of individual personal development plans.
