We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN/Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join Academics Ltd at our Special Needs School in Westbury.

The school provides integrated education and therapeutic support for children aged 5-18 with complex needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviour.

As a key member of our team, you will provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, monitoring their academic progress and emotional wellbeing. You will help develop their interpersonal and social skills, ensuring they thrive when they leave school.

You will also play a vital role in encouraging pupils to make positive decisions and supporting them through challenges they face. Our school works closely with external professionals, including educational psychologists, counsellors, and speech therapists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and small group support to pupils with complex needs.
  • Monitor pupil progress and emotional wellbeing.
  • Develop interpersonal and social skills in pupils.
  • Support pupils in making positive decisions and coping with challenges.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN or mental health needs.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and understanding.
Working Details:
  • Location: Wiltshire.
  • Role: SEN/Mental Health Teaching Assistant.
  • Salary: £28,000 per year (£80-£90 per day).
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
