About the Role

Vermelo RPO is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pricing Analyst - Modelling to join our team. As a key member of our pricing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced pricing models to drive business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and leadership on WTW toolkit (Emblem and Radar) to drive forward effective and efficient solutions that deliver business requirements and add demonstrable value.
  • Modelling Concepts: Provide thought leadership on modelling concepts and develop innovative solutions to complex pricing problems.
  • Solution Development: Lead and manage the development of effective and efficient solutions that deliver business requirements and add demonstrable value.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all team members follow quality assurance processes and manage risk adhering to all relevant policies.
  • Best Practices: Research, develop, and champion the use of best practice methods and standards and ensure they are embedded throughout the department.
  • Pricing Capability: Plan, design, and lead the development of Vermelo RPO's pricing capability.
  • Statistical Techniques: Through ongoing research, maintain an extensive knowledge of statistical techniques to ensure Vermelo RPO has a market-leading approach to analysis and modelling.
  • Tactical and Strategic Decisions: Assist Pricing Managers in making tactical and strategic decisions.
  • Deputy Pricing Manager: Deputise for Pricing Managers, Head of Pricing.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience within general insurance pricing.
  • Predictive Modelling Techniques: Experience with some of the following predictive modelling techniques; Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, and Clustering.
  • Statistical and Data Science Programming Languages: Experience in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g. R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL).
  • Quantitative Degree: A good quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science).
  • WTW Toolkit Experience: Proven experience of modelling using WTW toolkit (Emblem and Radar).
  • Communication Skills: Proficient at communicating results in a concise manner both verbally and written.
