Role Overview:

Markerstudy Group is seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join a rapidly growing pricing department across various insurance lines.

The ideal candidate will utilize advanced analytical skills to:

  • Influence project direction and outcomes across personal lines products
  • Create innovative data solutions to extract insights and present data
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated models using data science techniques
  • Design automated reporting structures to monitor pricing performance

Working closely with retail and technical pricing teams, underwriting teams, and data science teams, the Senior Pricing Analyst will provide critical insights and recommendations to improve products and prices, driving Markerstudy Group's competitive advantage in the insurance market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop advanced pricing models using traditional and data science techniques across Private Car, Commercial Vehicle, and Home accounts
  • Advance the adoption of data science and statistical techniques across pricing and underwriting
  • Research and leverage new and existing data sources to capture and explain trends with innovative data features
  • Communicate results to key decision-makers for action based on pricing analysis
  • Review observed and expected performance of key accounts
  • Collaborate with peers in pricing, underwriting, and data science
  • Facilitate automation of repeatable tasks
  • Monitor trends and review impact of pricing proposals using specialist software
  • Coach and mentor team members

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in general insurance pricing
  • Experience with predictive modeling techniques such as Logistic Regression, GBMs, Elastic Net GLMs, GAMs, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Neural Nets, and Clustering
  • Experience in statistical and data science programming languages (e.g., R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL)
  • Good quantitative degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science)
  • Experience with WTW's Radar software is preferred
  • Proficient in communicating results in a concise manner both verbally and written
