As a Maintenance Operative at Collingwood Grange Care Home, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the care home remains functional and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all maintenance and repair tasks are completed to a high standard with minimal disruption to our residents and visitors
  • Contributing to the management of the maintenance budget and taking the lead as appropriate
  • Carrying out ad-hoc internal decoration of all accessible areas and maintaining them to a high standard
  • Reporting unrepairable defects to management and escalating or seeking specialist repair if required
  • Ensuring all health and safety and compliance checks are carried out to deadlines and all policies and guidelines are adhered to at all times
  • Working on call as and when required to support our care home outside of hours

Key skills and qualifications needed for this role include:

  • A full driving licence
  • A building/electrical/plumbing qualification or a minimum of 3 years' experience in a property maintenance or general repairs role
  • Previous experience in a site management role and experience managing consultants, contractors, and contracted suppliers would be advantageous
