Wood Digital Consulting is seeking a Network and Digital Discipline Manager to support our EMEA Systems Integration business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Discipline Team Leads and their direct reports to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the Network and Digital department.

The role will involve functional management and development of discipline engineering resources, as well as governance of discipline practices and procedures.

As a discipline subject matter expert, the candidate will support and drive engineering excellence across the wider organisation.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of engineering delivery in one or more relevant industry sectors, as well as expert level experience and understanding of discipline engineering tools and processes.

They will also have a broad understanding of the business drivers for relevant industry sector clients, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.

The role is a hybrid position that can be based anywhere in the UK, with mobility and travel to customer sites and face-to-face meetings with colleagues expected.

Applicants must be able to pass a HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

Key Requirements:

  • ISCED Level 6 / Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 / Masters (preferred) degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent professional experience
  • Chartership with a relevant professional body / Professional Engineer License or equivalent is an advantage
  • Extensive broad and deep experience of engineering delivery in one or more relevant industry sectors
  • Expert level experience and understanding of discipline engineering tools and processes
  • Broad understanding of the business drivers for relevant industry sector clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to anticipate and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Able to attract top talent to meet current and future business needs
  • Experienced in developing talent using coaching, mentoring and formal performance processes
