We are seeking an experienced Health Visitor Leader to join our team at NELFT North East London Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Multi Agency Child Protection and Assessment Team, you will play a vital role in providing a health perspective as part of the child protection process.

The successful candidate will have a degree in nursing or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse. They will also possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. To provide expert advice on safeguarding and child protection practices.
  2. To work collaboratively with the team to ensure timely and relevant information sharing.
  3. To offer clinical health advice to support decision-making within the child protection process.
  4. To maintain organisational, local, and national knowledge surrounding safeguarding and child protection.
  5. To analyse and interpret health information to inform multi-agency risk assessments and safety plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
  • Experience in collecting and analysing data.
  • Awareness of adverse childhood experiences, trauma-informed practice, and substance misuse.
