Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Neonatal Senior Nurse to join our team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 6 Nurse Leader, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, promoting Family Integrated Care and delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care to babies meeting the criteria for High Dependency and Special Care levels of needs.
  • Dealing with clinical emergencies as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Clear communication with parents and colleagues.
  • Help and support parents, keeping them updated about their babies.
  • Teach and support students and new staff.
  • Escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Take part in quality improvement projects on the unit.
  • Complete timely discharge planning for babies on the unit.
