The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional individual to fill the role of Theatre Education and Development Lead. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop, deliver, and manage education across the theatre department.

Job DescriptionMain Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the identification of training and education needs, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational activities for students, new starters, and existing members of non-medical staff.
  • Develop and implement education initiatives, including orientation, preceptorship, and mentorship programmes for students and new members of staff.
  • Coordinate, develop, and evaluate competency-based programmes for non-medical staff in the directorate.
  • Utilize coaching and mentoring skills to develop others, providing support, education, and opportunities for development and career guidance by offering regular feedback to staff.
Requirements:
  • Registered with NMC or HCPC.
  • BSc in Nursing/Operating Department Practice.
  • Mentorship/Clinical Supervision and Assessing Qualification.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Educated or working towards masters or postgraduate level.
  • Teaching Qualification.
  • Coaching course.
Essential Experience:
  • Significant experience in clinical practice in an acute setting.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Change management experience related to the planning and delivery of educational activities both in classroom and clinical settings.
  • Training and experience in risk management sufficient to understand potential risks and solutions from an education perspective.
Salary:

£45,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
