Salary and Benefits

Job Description

As a Senior European Chef at Manzi's, you will be responsible for cooking seasonal classic European cuisine using high-quality fresh ingredients. You will ensure the highest standards of food preparation, taste, and presentation, while working closely with our kitchen management team to run our busy service.

You will be an integral part of our team, contributing ideas towards seasonal changing menus and weekly specials. Your expertise in classical cooking techniques, product knowledge, and Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation will be essential in maintaining our high standards.

In addition to your culinary skills, we seek a candidate who can effectively communicate with all departments and foster a culture of teamwork, creativity, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a similar kitchen environment and/or hospitality setting
  • Excellent knowledge of classical cooking techniques and in-depth product knowledge
  • Proficiency and knowledge of Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation
  • Exposure to back-office procedures, including stock control and payroll management (desirable)
  • A track record of people development or a strong appetite to enhance and develop those skills
