Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Education Professional to join our team as a Cover Supervisor in the Burnley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and have a genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students follow lesson plans, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher
  2. Ensure students complete assigned tasks and follow lesson plans
  3. Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment
  4. Support students with queries or learning needs during lessons
  5. Report incidents or concerns to school staff as required
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in a classroom or youth setting)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, can-do attitude and ability to manage classroom behaviour
  • Flexibility and reliability, with the ability to adapt to different school environments
