About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating and Financial Officer (COFO) to support the successful operation of our Trust and its schools.

The COFO will oversee the operational functions of the Trust, providing leadership, direction, and development on all operational services and financial management.

This is a pivotal role within the executive leadership team, requiring strong management and clear direction to deliver the Trust's strategic aims.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Board to drive achievement, high standards, compliance, and quality improvements for our pupils, colleagues, schools, and communities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Oversight of operational functions, including finance, estates, HR, ICT, and communications.
  2. Leadership and direction on all operational services and financial management.
  3. Development of business, commercial, and professional services to enable transformation and growth.
  4. Championing performance and delivery across various teams.
  5. Proactive management of risks and opportunities for improvement.
  6. Formal role as Chief Financial Officer, maintaining the viability of operations and managing a multi-million-pound budget.

Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with experience in finance, operations, and strategic planning.

They will be adept at driving change, managing risks, and developing high-performing teams.

A degree in a relevant field and professional qualifications in finance and business would be desirable.
