Key Responsibilities:- Fire Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to compile fire strategy reports and provide guidance on fire safety challenges and issues.
- Legislative Compliance: Assist clients in meeting requirements under relevant legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022, Building Regulations 2010, and the Fire Safety Order.
- Fire Risk Analysis: Conduct fire risk analysis and provide guidance on appropriate control measures to mitigate risks.
- Project Support: Support internal design teams on multi-disciplinary projects, addressing various fire safety challenges and issues.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients to coordinate inspection programmes and remedial works.
- Documentation and Planning: Gather on-site particulars, document schedules of works, prepare specifications, obtain estimates, and plan work schedules while ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Regulatory Advice: Offer advice on Building Regulations Approval for fire-related matters.
Requirements:
- A degree in fire safety or fire risk engineering is essential.
- Membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers and professional registration with the Engineering Council are required.
- Full understanding of current fire safety legislation, technical standards, and best practices is necessary.
