About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pilot Plant Chemist to join our team at Hudson Shribman. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our pilot plant facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Blending and Packaging: Blend and package finished chemical products to tight tolerances, ensuring high-quality results and minimal waste.
  • Sample Management: Receive, decant, and ship samples requested via our site inventory system, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain high standards of inventory control, including chemical waste management, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Proactively contribute to maintaining high safety standards and a clean working environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Interchangeability: Be prepared to work interchangeably with all roles in the facility, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Requirements
  • Chemistry Background: Possess a strong chemistry background, with experience in laboratory settings and/or pilot plant operations.
  • Technical Competencies: Demonstrate strong technical competencies, including practical laboratory and/or pilot plant work, and organic synthesis.
  • Lab Experience: Have some laboratory experience, with a focus on analytical chemistry techniques and data interpretation.
  • Operational Experience: Possess experience in an industrial setting, preferably in manufacturing or production, with a focus on chemical process operations.
  • Training and Development: Be willing to undertake training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
