Job Overview

The Senior Culinary Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality food services in a care home setting. This role requires a personable and warm approach, with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents.

As an experienced chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food and create appetising and nutritious menus that meet the needs of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
  • Assist in menu development and ensure that all dishes are cooked to the highest standards
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality and wholesome meals
  • Create a warm and welcoming environment within the care home
Requirements
  • A City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
  • A good understanding of nutrition and HACCP
  • Experience of working with fresh seasonal food and creating appetising and nutritious menus
