Damage Assessment Specialist

We know our customers' vehicles are crucial in making their daily lives easier, whether it's running errands or getting essential items delivered. As a Vehicle Damage Assessor, you will be the key to ensuring their vehicles receive top-notch repairs.
You will play a vital role in meeting workflow targets by prioritizing job cards, identifying fast-track repairs, and following accurate parts orders. Your goal is to ensure all repairs are cost-effective while collaborating with policyholders and Direct Line Group engineering functions for borderline repairable or beyond economical repair cases.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work within site guidelines to meet volume targets and ensure parts orders are accurate.
- Review and optimize repair methodologies to maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with policyholders and Direct Line Group engineering functions for borderline repairable or beyond economical repair cases.
- Provide timely communication to customers regarding repairs and non-related damage, where applicable.
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations and procedures are followed in your role.
- Achieve and maintain standard methodology and lean activities as instructed by business strategy.
About the Role:
This is a permanent full-time position reporting directly to the Lead Vehicle Damage Assessor. We're excited to grow our team and contribute to shaping the vehicle repair industry with evolving technologies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Knowledge of Thatcham repair methods, Audatex, and ATA qualification is highly valued.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary for this position.
