Maths Academic Coach Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Maths Academic Coach to provide expert support to teaching staff in planning and delivering engaging GCSE Maths lessons. The successful candidate will assess classwork, provide clear feedback, and offer 1-2-1 and small group support tailored to individual student needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement effective lesson plans.
  • Provide targeted support to under-achieving GCSE Maths students, focusing on their individual needs and learning styles.
  • Assess student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance their understanding.
  • Contribute to a positive learning environment by participating in school activities and events.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Maths or a related subject.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematical concepts and a clear, confident communication style.
  • Able to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Dedicated to the education and development of young people.
  • Previous experience working with students is beneficial but not mandatory.
