About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Executive to join our Motor Department in Manchester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of defendant litigated files, working independently and collaboratively with other Fee Earners.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a mixed case load of defendant litigated files, ranging from OIC to Fast Track/low level Multi Track
  • Deal with files on a delegated and non-delegated basis, ensuring compliance with client SLAs
  • Review quantum, value general and special damages, and finalize case plans, including advice on next steps
  • Refer cases for supervision and guidance to ensure correct procedure and process is followed
  • Enter into telephone negotiations, liaise with third-party solicitors and insurers, and record the outcome of approaches
  • Draft documents, including applications, offers, proposed orders, and directions
  • Attend telephone conferences, applications, and court hearings
  • Work to Court Deadlines and manage time effectively using organizational skills and case management system
  • See cases through from commencement of proceedings to conclusion, dealing with cases in a cost-effective manner
  • Ensure all cases are dealt with in compliance with Solicitors' Accounts Rules and Law
  • Manage time effectively and complete MI and understanding of SLAs
  • Comply with Horwich Farrelly's practice and procedures
