Main Responsibilities

As a key member of the Community Children's Nursing Services team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to children and young people with complex health needs. You will work closely with families and carers to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting the healthcare staff on shift, and you will be expected to lead by example in terms of communication and organizational skills.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and young people. As a Community Nurse for Children and Young People, you will have the chance to work in a variety of settings, including Sunshine House, schools, and other care or respite settings. You will be expected to be flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support different staff teams as required. The role will also involve working with the wider CCN and Special Schools nursing teams, to support them as needed.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have recent experience of working with children and young people with complex health needs, as well as experience of multi-agency working. You will also need to have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and manage your own workload. A teaching qualification, such as ENB 998 or equivalent, is desirable but not essential. You will be expected to have a good working knowledge of electronic care records and to be able to prioritize your workload effectively.
