Commercial Assistant Opportunity

Lusona Consultancy is delighted to be retained by Ipsum Solutions to source a suitable applicant for the role of Commercial Assistant based at their Hillington, Glasgow office.

Ipsum Solutions provides specialist power, water, infrastructure, and technology support services to regulated utilities and private sector businesses across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the development, implementation, and management of all commercial activities and controls of the business unit assigned to.
  • Report on contract performance to budget and forecasts, audit adherence to the procurement and pricing strategy, and commercial support to general managers.
  • Maintain performance reports and business partnering with operational colleagues.
  • Support the business unit in generating tenders for all opportunities.
  • Build up strong knowledge of customer contracts, while maintaining the commercial contract log.
  • Provide advice on commercial issues to general/framework managers.
  • Report work in progress, billing, and support of payment collection.
Requirements:
  • A graduate with a bachelor's or master's degree/equivalent qualification in business/mathematics/quantity surveying.
  • Someone with demonstrable experience within a similar commercial or financial role, with a strong administrative background.

Likewise, strong financial acumen is essential for this position, given that it sits within the commercial team. Strong people and communication skills are also necessary, as you will work closely with various stakeholders across the business.

This role focuses on commercial administrative tasks, and you will have an inquisitive mindset to present solutions for queries that ensure performance remains on target.

Ipsum Solutions offers a competitive salary (DOE) and a flexible working arrangement, with 4 days per week based at the Glasgow office (Hillington) and 1 day working from home.
