Marine Engineering Trainer

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineering Mechanical Trainer to join our team at our Gosport depot. As a Marine Engineering Mechanical Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical technical training on Mechanical engineering techniques, complex systems routines, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair techniques to the equipment and systems of RN warships and other Navies vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training within the Engine Workshop, covering Mechanical engineering techniques, complex systems routines, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
- Assess trainee course work and provide feedback on performance.
- Be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
- Carry out level 0 and level 1 training equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
Requirements:
- Consolidated experience (within last 5 years) or directly employed in Marine Mechanical to include skill of hand techniques & engineering principles in the maritime environment.
- Previous instructional experience & sufficient knowledge to teach / design ME (LET/POET)'s Mechanical engineering techniques, complex systems routines, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair techniques, covering the following modules: Engineering Safety, Diesel Engines, Gas Turbines, Transmissions, Fuel Systems, Auxiliaries, Refrigeration and Hydraulics, Vent and Freshwater.
- Experience in the development of Marine Mechanical engineering based training courses.
