Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer Opportunity

We are working in partnership with a leading International Defence business to recruit a Marine Engineering Electrical Trainer on a permanent basis due to growth at their Gosport depot.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct Electrical & Electronic principles training in accordance with the Training Plan and Training Standing Operating Procedures.
  • Assess student course work and provide feedback on performance.
  • Be responsible for the duty of care of trainees during the delivery of training.
  • Carry out equipment maintenance for which suitable qualifications and experience are held.
Requirements:
  1. Consolidated experience (within last 5 years), or directly employed in Marine electrical and electronic engineering principles in the maritime environment.
  2. Previous knowledge in the application of Marine electrical and electronic theoretical and practical instruction to phase 2 and 3 Electrical Engineering courses with an awareness of Electrical Theory, Electrical Safety, Power & Distribution, High Voltage, Electrical Test Equipment, Electrical Maintenance, Damage Control and Waste Processing.
  3. Previous instructional experience in a military or civilian electrical and electronic environment (ideally within last 5 years).
  4. Experience in the development of electrical and electronic engineering based training courses.
  5. Qualified academically or vocationally to a minimum of Level 3 engineering in relevant subject matter.
  6. Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
