About the Role
The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide routine personal care and assist with examination duties for patients, under the supervision of a registered nurse or clinician. The post holder will ensure a person-centred approach to care delivery, prioritizing safety and effectiveness to maintain quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine personal care tasks for patients, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with examination duties, such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in on-the-job training and induction to develop skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Knowledge of personal care procedures and related protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic knowledge of information technology and software applications.
Contract Details
- Permanent full-time contract.
- 37 hours per week.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Ward 21 Medicine for Older Adults within University Hospital Monklands.
