Ship's Electrical Equipment Technician

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Marine Electronic Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Oregon State University. As a key member of our Ship Operations unit, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical systems on our research vessels, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical/Marine/Electrical Engineering or 5 years' experience with electromechanical systems and automation controls. Prior research vessel experience or similar experience with winch controls and Launch and Recovery Systems (LARS) is highly desirable.
You will work collaboratively with our team to develop and maintain critical documentation, track and report routine inspections, and assist with the installation and at-sea repair of overboard handling systems. We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience, plus additional benefits including a TWIC and valid STCW Medical Certificate.
