About the Role

National Locums requires an experienced Clinical Microbiologist and Consultant for a locum position in a hospital in North England. This 3-month role involves providing a comprehensive clinical microbiology, virology, and infection prevention service.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in clinical microbiology, virology, and infection control. They must also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ward rounds, particularly in Critical Care areas.
  • Develop and implement strategies for infection prevention and control.
  • Work collaboratively with consultant colleagues to ensure effective service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of NHS experience on a consultant level.
  • GMC registration and entry on the specialist register are advantageous.

Location

  • The location offers good public transport links and easy car access.
  • Accommodation options are available locally.

Package

  • Negotiable pay terms with PAYE payment preferred.

Salary: £95,000 - £110,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
