Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Science Applications: Work on the latest data science applications to solve business problems.
  • Collaboration: Participate in discussions with team members to select and apply relevant analytic techniques, creating actionable business insights.
  • Business Context: Understand the business context by discussing existing data models with senior client leaders, deriving useful business insights.
  • Data Extraction: Extract, transform, and organize data into datasets using tools like SQL.
  • Project Breakdown: Break down projects into specific tasks involving business analysis, data science, and engineering.
  • Team Leadership: Direct teams of business analysts to create data-driven solutions.
  • Data Analytics Frameworks: Architect data analytics frameworks and solutions to solve data-driven business problems.
  • Data Models: Use Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Operational Research techniques to develop data models.
  • Predictive Models: Experienced in building and maintaining predictive and/or prescriptive models in production at enterprise scale.
  • Simulation: Experienced in developing and running simulation, optimization, and what-if scenario planning tools to support decision making.
  • Critical Information: Demonstrable ability to sift through data, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypothesis, and make recommendations to a broader audience.
  • Innovative Solutions: Consistent record of working cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics.
  • Complex Analyses: Prior experience synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with agile development methodology.
  • Quality Checks: Utilizing appropriate quality checks to ensure results are sound.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Data Science Expertise: 6-8 years of experience in Data Science, preferably in the FMCG space, with CPG Supply Chain domain experience.
  • Supply Chain Experience: At least 3-4 years of experience in Supply Chain, with prior experience in Demand, Supply, Shipping, Inventory Planning, and related areas.
  • Large Data Sets: Experience working with large data sets, emphasizing business analysis problems.
  • Offshore Teams: Experience working with offshore teams, solving vague business problems with data analytics solutions.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, with experience in Supply Chain Planning and Operations, E-commerce, or store retail experience.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated technical and analytical skill set to work with analytics toolkit such as R, Python, SQL, Git, SAS, Tableau, Alteryx, and Azure Tech Stack.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage with executive/VP level stakeholders from client teams to translate business problems into high-level analytics solution approaches.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics.
  • Communication: Prior experience synthesizing and packaging complex analyses and delivering results to non-technical audiences, including senior leadership teams.
  • Project Management: Strong project management and team management skills, with ability to work with global teams.
  • Statistical Algorithms: Knowledge of statistical and machine learning algorithms.
  • Cloud Platforms: Exposure to cloud platforms and big data systems such as Hadoop HDFS, Hive.
