Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our busy team. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on new installations, maintain the Microsoft SQL Server, and add improvements when possible. You will also have the chance to share your automation skills and apply them to our fresh way of working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work on new installations and maintain the Microsoft SQL Server
  • Contribute to the automation of processes and apply your skills to our fresh way of working
  • Input into risks to the environment and minimize these for less disruption to our network
  • Work across multiple teams, including Business Intelligence, Application Support, and Development, supporting and cross-training where possible
Requirements
  • Experience/knowledge in Database Administration in a Project or Operations environment
  • Expert knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server 2008+
  • Ability for Performance Tuning & Query plans, HA & DR Solutions, and Partitioning
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure Technologies
  • Previous experience with T-SQL, SQL Server Upgrades, and cloud migrations
  • Good knowledge around Scripting and automation tools like PowerShell, Terraform
  • Some knowledge around SSIS, SSRS, Power BI
Desirable
  • PCI – DSS Compliance knowledge
  • NoSQL – Mongo
  • Understanding around Solarwinds, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and Service Now
