**SEN Teacher Position in East London**

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a successful special needs school in East London. The ideal candidate will have recent UK experience and be passionate about teaching students with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching a mixed KS3 class of 6 pupils with Autism and SLD, developing their social and communication skills through the Early Years curriculum. Experience with PECS and Makaton is advantageous but training is available.

To excel in this role, you should possess flexibility, initiative, and the ability to adapt to our dynamic environment. Prior experience working in an SEN school or with ASD and SLD children would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Taught a mixed KS3 class of 6 pupils with Autism and SLD.
  • Worked alongside two learning support assistants who were familiar with the children and the school procedures.
  • Developed social and communication skills through the Early Years curriculum.
Requirements
  • Experience as an SEN Teacher or a primary trained teacher with a passion for SEN.
  • Flexibility and the ability to use initiative where required.
  • Prior experience working in an SEN school or with ASD and SLD children was advantageous but not essential.
Salary and Benefits

The competitive daily rate is between £80-£120 per day.
