About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Nurse to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing leadership and support to staff providing care to patients within a designated ward or department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support to staff to ensure the highest possible quality of care is delivered.
  • Monitor, audit, and review care standards to ensure the ward is functioning at a high standard.
  • Support the ward team to deliver high standards of care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (Valid with NMC)
  • Degree in Nursing Studies
  • Completed the national PEAP programme for practice supervisors or equivalent teaching and assessing qualification
Desirable Qualifications
  • Recognised management/leadership training
Experience
  • Extensive post-registration experience
  • Experience at band 6 or above in Geriatric and Stroke Medicine
  • Evidence of successful change management
Special Skills/Aptitudes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of clinical skills competence
  • Excellent leadership skills
