Prototype Welder Role

We are seeking a skilled Prototype Welder to join our team at Optima UK Inc Ltd. As a key member of our prototype department, you will be responsible for MIG/TIG welding to a high quality and working at speed to meet targets.

About the Role:

  • Weld to high/tight tolerances and have experience working with mild steel.
  • Work in the prototype department making one-off parts.
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications and use measuring equipment to quality check work.
  • Fettling and grinding sheet metal work.
  • Record and report any issues.

About You:

  • Over 12 months experience as a Welder.
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.
  • Determination of the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements.
