Shift: 7:30am - 4:30pm (Mon - Thurs) 7:30am - 12:30pm (Fri)

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a permanent Prototype Welder to join our day shift team. As part of our planned growth, we require someone to MIG/TIG weld to a high quality and work at speed ensuring targets are met. You will be able to work to high/tight tolerances and have experience working with mild steel. The position is based in the prototype department making one off parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • MIG/TIG weld to a high quality and work at speed ensuring targets are met
  • Work to high/tight tolerances and have experience working with mild steel
  • Read blueprints and drawings and take measurements to plan layout and procedures
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications
  • Quality check finished products
  • Record and report any issues
  • Manual handling of different tools to complete the job to the highest standards set

Requirements:

  • Over 12 months experience as a Welder
