Paediatric Intensive Care Unit Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and friendly individual to join our support worker team in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a safe, clean, organised, and efficient environment that supports the delivery of high-quality care to critically-ill paediatric patients and their families.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to understand their needs and provide support accordingly.
- Ensure all necessary stock is obtained and stored appropriately throughout the ward environment.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure the ward environment is clean, tidy and organised always to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Provide excellent customer service and interact professionally and courteously with patients and families on PICU.
- Evidence of numeracy, literacy and IT skills- minimum of national level 2 / GCSE A-C grade or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Able to work under challenging conditions.
- Possess the values of Patients First, Always Improving, and Working Together.
