Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases Specialist to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services in medical microbiology and infectious diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage patients with infection across the healthcare system
- Provide expert clinical opinion on clinical microbiology problems
- Take responsibility for delivering services without direct supervision
- Experience in infection prevention and control
Requirements
- FRCPath or equivalent
- Full and Specialist registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Experience of teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff
- Commitment to continued medical education
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in management of viral hepatitis
- Experience of OPAT services
- Ability to supervise postgraduate research
Personal Attributes
- Caring attitude to patients
- Enthusiasm to develop clinical service
