About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Pathology Blood Sciences team as an Assistant Healthcare Scientist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will work within the Sample Reception / Office areas of Pathology, receiving and checking samples, data entry, reagent preparation, general maintenance, and stock control. They will also interact with patients and other service users, dealing with phone queries and possessing good keyboard skills with a high level of accuracy.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have some laboratory experience or an aptitude for science, be a good team player with a flexible approach to working, and possess a keen eye for detail. Exceptional customer service is required in this role, and the successful applicant will be required to participate in the '7-day working' pattern, including weekends, nights, and Bank Holidays.
