Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Configuration Management Lead to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Configuration Management Team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing configuration management activities for the Dreadnought program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead configuration audit activities, including FCA/PCA, to ensure accuracy and completeness of configuration data.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify configuration management and reporting requirements and ensure these are captured in plans and processes.
  • Manage the release of and delivery of products to both internal and external customers.
  • Lead the configuration management team and provide coaching and guidance to ensure successful delivery of configuration management activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree qualified (RQF Level 6/SCQF Level 9) or equivalent experience in a technology, engineering or science related discipline.
  • Registered as CEng (or can demonstrate eligibility and commitment to register for CEng within 12 months of appointment).
  • Member of a Professional Engineering Institute recognised by the Engineering Council.
Desirable Qualifications
  • CM2 certified.
  • Experience of configuration and release management in a regulated industry (such as defence, aerospace, rail, oil & gas, nuclear or automotive).
