Job Title: Configuration Management Lead

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Lead to join our Global Sustainment team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and controlling all configuration management activities for assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain configuration management plans and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  2. Manage the control and release of technical data packages, ensuring alignment with engineering bills of materials and procurement bills of materials.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and procure hardware to support ongoing platform retrofits.
  4. Develop and maintain metrics to track configuration management performance and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Identify and mitigate risks associated with configuration management activities.

Requirements:

Essential:

  1. Proven experience in configuration management, preferably in a product and after-sales service environment.
  2. Strong project management skills, with experience in managing tasks from planning to completion.
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, MS Office applications, and ERP systems, preferably SAP.

Desirable:

  1. Background in engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
