Job Title: Operational Lead Pharmacist - Oncology

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead our oncology pharmacy team. As the Operational Lead Pharmacist - Oncology, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and delivery of chemotherapy treatments to patients.

About the Role:
  • Lead the SOCP service, working closely with the operations manager to ensure compliance with national regulations and guidelines.
  • Act as the lead accountable pharmacist for UHS and the accountable pharmacist for SOCP.
  • Provide highly specialist advice on chemotherapy preparation to clinicians and other pharmacy staff.
  • Contribute to the development of a new UHS Licensed offsite Aseptic service at Adanac Park.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and external companies to ensure UHS receives the best possible chemotherapy service.
Requirements:
  • Registered pharmacist with significant aseptic experience, preferably in oncology.
  • Further qualification in clinical pharmacy or PTQA diploma with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Previous management experience in a clinical environment.
  • Prior experience as an accountable pharmacist or equivalent.
