Job Title: Operational Lead Pharmacist - Oncology

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead our oncology pharmacy team. As the Operational Lead Pharmacist - Oncology, you will be responsible for managing the preparation and delivery of chemotherapy treatments to patients.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading healthcare organization and contribute to the development of a new off-site aseptic service at Adanac Park. You will work closely with a variety of healthcare professionals and external companies to ensure the delivery of high-quality chemotherapy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation and delivery of chemotherapy treatments to patients
  • Act as the lead accountable pharmacist for UHS and the accountable pharmacist for SOCP
  • Provide highly specialist advice on chemotherapy preparation for clinicians and other pharmacy staff
  • Contribute to the development of a new UHS Licensed off-site Aseptic service at Adanac Park
  • Work with a variety of healthcare professionals and external companies to ensure UHS receives the best possible chemotherapy service
Requirements:

We are looking for a registered pharmacist with significant aseptic experience, preferably in oncology, and a further qualification in clinical pharmacy or PTQA diploma. Previous management experience in a clinical environment is required, as well as prior experience as an accountable pharmacist or equivalent.
