Job Summary

The Flight Handler will be responsible for ensuring the timely dispatch of airline meals and in-flight products to airlines, adhering to agreed service level standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and coordinate daily workloads before the start of each shift, collaborating with internal colleagues to meet daily deadlines.
  2. Ensure all in-flight meals, special meals, and products are assembled according to client flight specifications.
  3. Apply security seals on all storage trolleys ready for dispatch.
  4. Deliver all items to aircraft and confirm menu briefing with crew to ensure the flight is fully catered.
  5. Ensure suite dressers dress cabins according to client specifications.
  6. Be responsible for meeting airline standards regarding packing plans, with full training and supporting documents provided.
  7. Effectively load airline food and catering supplies inside delivery trucks and at the Aircraft.
  8. Utilize effective communication to minimize delays and resolve problems.
  9. Perform multitasking and work under pressure.
  10. Lift and/or push approximately 50lbs.
  11. Assist with other duties within various departments as and when required.
  12. Adhere to Unit safety measures in place.
  13. Adhere to in-flight services security compliance.
  14. Adhere to clean as you go standard.
  15. Interact with colleagues, customers, and clients in a professional manner at all times.
  16. Comply with all unit Corporate, Social, Responsibility initiatives.
  17. Perform any other duties as requested by your manager.

Requirements

  1. Minimum 1 year's airline industry experience (desirable).
  2. Able to work well under pressure and part of a team.
  3. Self-motivation, commitment, enthusiasm, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and on your own initiative.
  4. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with a customer-centered approach to service delivery.
  5. Operational awareness, understanding of HACCP, COSHH, requirements, and any other training as specified by your manager.
  6. Proven problem-solving skills, efficiency, and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to be an effective ambassador for the organization at all times and while wearing uniform off-duty.
  8. Forklift driving duties (if applicable).
  9. Indate CPC & Driving License is a must.
