As a Senior Communications Officer at the Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE), you will play a pivotal role in championing the organization's narrative and driving engagement. This Fixed Term Contract until 31 December 2025 presents an excellent opportunity to lead day-to-day communications and marketing activities across various channels, fostering growth, participation, and understanding of the RSE's relevance nationwide and globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies and plans to increase visibility of the RSE's outputs and promote involvement in its work.
  • Lead and shape communication strategies that support organizational goals while fostering positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and support the communications team to ensure they have the skills and tools required to carry out their roles, overseeing their development needs.

About the Role:

This is an ideal position for a communications professional with a proven track record of effectively leading, managing, and developing a team. You will be responsible for overseeing the full range of communications channels, promoting increased involvement in RSE activities, and shaping the organization's narrative. Your ability to drive productivity and efficiency will allow you to deliver robust and creative communications and marketing plans.

The salary for this role is £44,876.
