About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to join our team as a Pharmacy Lead for Research and Development. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Research and Development team to support the delivery of clinical trials and to contribute to the development of our pharmacy service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate pharmacy aspects of clinical trials, including pre-site selection visits, site initiation visits, monitoring and close-out visits.
  • Be the first point of contact for research trial sponsors and CROs.
  • Manage pharmacy-related clinical trials income and work with RDU and medical colleagues to identify areas of research priorities.
  • Contribute to the assessment and feasibility of delivery of clinical trials within SHSC.
  • Attend local and regional pharmacy research networks.

Person Specification

  • Significant post-registration experience in clinical trials.
  • Evidence-based practice and knowledge of medicines for human use regulations.
  • Interest in clinical trials and mental health.
  • Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
