Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a brand-new SEN school in Wilmslow.

This exceptional educational institution provides specialised education for children and young people aged 5 to 19 with complex communication needs, often linked with Autism spectrum conditions. Their mission is to deliver an outstanding educational experience, inspired by their neighboring 'Outstanding' rated school.

About the Role:
  • As a committed SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the learning and well-being of students, helping them to reach their full potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Your responsibilities will include assisting with care needs, implementing tailored positive behaviour management strategies, and building supportive relationships that promote independence and personal growth.

Requirements:

  • Experience in SEN settings, either professionally or voluntarily.
  • A full UK driving license and access to own transportation (preferred).
  • GCSEs in Maths and English at Level 3 or above (required).
  • Level 3 qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
  • Experience working with SEN or SEMH/ASD students.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a child-centric approach.

  • The salary for this role is estimated to be around £72 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
