At Prospero Teaching, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Wilmslow. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs across all curriculum areas.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced individual to work as a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant. Your primary responsibilities will include providing tailored support to students, leading groups in Phonics, Reading, Maths, and Writing, and working collaboratively with the teaching staff to ensure seamless classroom activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students across various subjects, including Phonics, Reading, Maths, and Writing
  • Leading groups in targeted learning activities
  • Working closely with individuals on their learning and development goals
  • Preparing resources and materials for lessons
  • Assessing student progress and recording information
  • Participating in daily routines and activities
Position Details:
  • Location: Wilmslow
  • Start Date: Immediate start
  • Duration: Ongoing contract
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:30am to 3:30pm daily

We offer a competitive salary range of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess relevant experience working in a UK primary school setting, preferably with SEN experience. You should hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent. Additionally, you must have up-to-date Safeguarding and Prevent training, a valid Right to Work in the UK document, and an Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service. Two professional references covering the past two years will also be required.
