Job Overview
As a member of the Reablement Team at Dumfries and Galloway Council, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their homes, promoting health, independence, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support to service users, promoting their physical well-being and management of their home.
- Work in blocks of hours on a shift pattern, covering breakfast, lunch, tea, and bed visits.
- Report and record observations concerning service users, collaborating with the Reablement Team to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of care services, adhering to council policies and regulations.
Requirements
- A current driving licence is required; however, consideration will be given to applicants with disabilities if alternative transport arrangements can be made.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users and colleagues.
Additional Information
This post is considered regulated work with vulnerable children and adults, requiring membership in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) scheme and Disclosure Scotland checks.
