Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Social Value Coordinator to join our team in Alness, Scotland. This role plays a critical part in promoting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across our supply chain and workforce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building relationships with suppliers to drive diversity within their workforce.
  • Managing EDI training for our staff and supply chain partners.
  • Facilitating quarterly supplier meetings to share best practices and discuss new initiatives.
  • Developing and implementing EDI strategies to increase diversity and promote an inclusive culture.
  • Writing contract clauses that commit suppliers to EDI commitments and support parent company activities.
  • Working closely with HR and parent companies to ensure blind sifting and remove unconscious bias from hiring processes.
  • Overseeing bi-annual diversity surveys and compiling reports for leadership teams and clients.
  • Ensuring suppliers meet ethical standards by submitting policies and procedures directly to the EDI Representative.
  • Partnering with Skills, Education and Employment teams, HR, and community engagement teams to target opportunities and engagement to impacted communities and those living near project sites.
  • Keeping stakeholders informed about the scheme and its activities.
  • Organizing exhibitions, arranging meetings, and site visits, producing newsletters, leaflets, and signage.
  • Establishing and maintaining a public helpline for queries and complaints.
  • Delivering safety talks to local schools and assisting with construction-related projects.
  • Providing presentations to professional bodies and responding to questions.
  • Building and maintaining good relationships with neighbors and interested parties through regular liaison with local authorities and residents' groups.
  • Identifying public concerns and addressing them through open dialogue and consultation with local communities.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits including 27 days holiday, discretionary annual bonus, above market rate contributory pension scheme, life assurance, health screening, and enhanced sick pay.
