About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team at Jacobs, a leading provider of technical, professional, and construction services. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and executing projects and tasks associated with the Jacobs Field Solutions Portfolio on the Sellafield Site in Cumbria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients to develop and define project scope via constructability reviews;
  • Lead by example, demonstrating the standards set by the business, and challenge unacceptable behaviors;
  • Support the preparation of estimates and budgets;
  • Plan work activities and resources to meet task requirements safely and effectively;
  • Pass a medical to prove fitness to work in a radiological environment;
  • Hold IOSH Managing Safely qualification and Security Clearance or be able to obtain;
  • Strong knowledge of Sellafield working procedures and processes, with experience in working within the Active Area;
  • NEC3 delivery experience and understanding of the CDM Regulations 2015;
Requirements
  • Verifying existing Mechanical and Electrical asset conditions on site;
  • Able to navigate and review information against existing P&IDs and Single Line Diagrams and test data;
  • Willing to learn and interpret technical drawings and transfer checked and verified information to client's spreadsheets and documentation against various fixed assets on site;
  • Ability to work on own initiative;
  • Ability to work co-operatively with others in the team to complete tasks and implement processes in line with client KPIs and end-to-end processes in the timescales dictated in the contract;
  • Ability to log in client's various portal systems and upload, download documentation, update client's progress trackers as required under the contract;
  • Ensure statistical tracker information is collated and updated and accurate for Internal Operational Progress Reports/Client reports and progress meetings;
  • Attend site on occasions to review inspection teams' data input, offer assistance/solutions to technical queries.
