Mechanical Site Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Site Engineer to join our team at Coyle Personnel. As a Mechanical Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of all mechanical plant and equipment installation on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Logistics Team and Supply Chain to ensure safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to site.
  • Process isometrics and drawings in accordance with project requirements and issue construction packages to installation supervisors.
  • Support the development of look-heads based on the programme and milestones.
  • Coordinate plant and equipment installation, including sub-contract activities and ensure all scaffolding and tools are readily available.
  • Review and report weekly progress against the programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on construction projects.
  • Previous experience of project delivery on a nuclear licensed site.
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering (minimum HNC).
  • Good knowledge of Mech Engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Holder of a valid competency card.
  • Proven ability to manage a small team of supervisors and blue collar ops and sub-contractors.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of Sellafield procedures.
  • Previous experience of working with Shield Doors, Gamma gates and Kuka robot equipment.
  • Previous experience working on the installation of bogey & rail systems in a nuclear environment.
  • Previous experience of working with and on EOTC Cranes.
